Sauna and cold plunge,
coming to York.
We build outdoor sauna and plunge sites. Proper 90°C heat, genuinely cold plunges and warm jacuzzis to sit in between, all outside under the trees, booked online. York’s next, and we’re looking at sites now.
We’ll announce the location as soon as it’s signed. Registering takes half a minute.

What we’re bringing
Three of everything.
Nobody queues.
Every site we build works the same way: three saunas at 90°C, three ice plunges, three jacuzzis, laid out as an outdoor circuit under the trees. You move between heat, cold and rest at your own pace, with a guaranteed spot at every station. Booking’s online only, so it never gets oversold.
The practice
What a session
looks like.
Heat
Ten to fifteen minutes at 90°C. Blood gets moving, muscles ease off, and the day starts to fall away.
Cold
A short go in the ice plunge. Kept cold all day, steps and rails in and out, staff nearby. A minute's plenty, and the lift afterwards lasts hours.
Rest
Warm water and fresh air between rounds. Sit, settle, then go again. Three rounds is the sweet spot.
Why York
Easy
one.
York already does things the slower, older way. It’s a walking city, a river city, a place where getting outside counts for more than a treadmill. The wild swimmers, the runners, the rowing and rugby clubs, they’re all here already. What’s missing is somewhere built for the full practice.
That’s the gap. We’re Yorkshire, we’re building the sauna culture we want to use ourselves, and York is next on the list. We’re looking at sites now and we’ll announce the location once it’s signed.

Where in York will the site be?
We've not announced it yet. What we look for everywhere is the same: outdoors, plenty of trees, easy to get to from the city, and enough room for the full circuit.
What will the York site include?
The same as every Northern Ritual site. Three saunas at 90°C, three ice plunges and three jacuzzis, laid out as an outdoor circuit so nobody queues.
How will booking work?
Online only, no walk-ins. Everyone who books is guaranteed a place. Pricing will be announced at launch.
I've never done a sauna or cold plunge before. Is it for me?
Yes. It's all self-paced, the team's on hand for first-timers, and you don't need any experience. Most people are surprised how fast it becomes the best hour of their week.
